What are the add-ins?
The UzOffice add-in extends three Microsoft Office apps: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It adds the same Matn tahriri (Text editing) tab to each app’s ribbon, with tools for checking and editing Uzbek text: spelling and context checks, correction suggestions and apostrophe fixing, plus converting text from Latin to Cyrillic and back and to the new Latin alphabet. The conversion rules, the spelling dictionary and your personal dictionary are the same in all three apps.
All three add-ins are installed by one installer and use one licence: you activate the key once, in any of the apps, and the other two become active as well. On the key this counts as one computer.
The add-ins are an optional part of the UzOffice platform. They work with the same account and subscription you use on the website: you create an API key on the site, paste it into the add-in, and the add-in is linked to your account. No separate sign-up or payment is needed.
The add-in's interface is in Uzbek (Latin script) in every language. In this guide the exact button labels are shown as they appear in Office, with an English translation in parentheses.

What the add-ins can do

In WordSpell check as you type or across the whole document; convert a whole document or selected text — headers, tables and notes included, formatting preserved.
In ExcelWork through errors one by one with “Keyingi xato” and “Birma-bir tuzatish”; convert cells, notes and sheet names — formulas, numbers and dates stay unchanged.
In PowerPointSpell check on slides and in speaker notes; convert slides, tables and SmartArt — design and hyperlinks are kept.
New Latin alphabetSwitch text to the new Latin script with Ö, Ğ, Ş, Ç; spell check switches to the new alphabet too.

Quick start in 3 steps

Create an API key on the website
Sign in and on the API Keys page click Create a Key. Give the key a label (for example “Office PC”) and copy it with Copy key.

Install the add-ins
Get
UzOfficeWordAddInSetup.exefrom the download page — it installs the Word, Excel and PowerPoint add-ins together. Close Word, Excel and PowerPoint and run the file. Details: Installing the add-ins. -
Activate in any app
Open Word, Excel or PowerPoint, click
Litsenziya (Licence) on the Matn tahriri tab, paste the key into Litsenziya kaliti (Licence key) and click Faollashtirish (Activate) — the buttons appear straight away. The other two apps pick up the licence by themselves. Details: Activating the licence.
Word, Excel and PowerPoint: the differences
The main buttons are the same in all three apps, but each one is adapted to its kind of document:

The Matn tahriri tab in Word
In Word, all of the add-in's buttons live on one tab of the ribbon. The tab in Excel and PowerPoint is similar but also has a scope menu and extra spelling buttons (Keyingi xato, Birma-bir tuzatish, Belgi rangi) — see the Excel and PowerPoint articles.

Only two groups visible?
If the licence isn't activated or has expired, the ribbon shows only the Yordam and Litsenziya groups. Activate your key — the buttons appear straight away (here's how). The same applies to Excel and PowerPoint.
Privacy
Your documents stay on your computer
Conversion and spell-checking run entirely on your own computer — the text of your documents, spreadsheets and presentations is never sent anywhere. The add-in contacts the server only to check the licence and look for updates. Only the licence key and the technical data needed for licensing and updates are sent.
