Frequently asked questions
Which Word versions does it support?
Microsoft Word 2016, 2019, 2021 and Microsoft 365 on Windows 10 and 11. Both 32-bit and 64-bit Word are supported.
Does it work on a phone or a Mac?
No, the add-in is Windows-only. On a phone, tablet or Mac use the UzOffice web version — it runs in the browser and offers the same features.
Is the add-in free?
Downloading and installing are free. To use it inside Word you need an UzOffice account and an active subscription — the API key comes with it.
Will it break my document’s formatting?
No. Conversion replaces the text character by character: fonts, tables, headings, lists and the rest of the formatting stay in place.
How many computers does one key cover?
It depends on the plan: each key has an allowed number of devices. You can remove an old computer from the list in your profile and connect a new one instead.
Do I need to be online all the time?
No. Once the key is activated, conversion and spell-checking run on your own computer. The add-in only checks the licence and for updates from time to time.
